From its weathered, 27-year-old hull, to its tough, hard-working two-man crew, the Hard Merchandise fishing boat is the embodiment of the blue-collar bluefin fishing industry in Gloucester, Massachuestts. Captain & owner Dave Marciano and his nephew & First Mate Jay Muenzner work hard, employing both passion and skill to level the playing field as they compete against more modern, better equipped vessels in their quest to catch bluefin tuna.
Captain Dave, who looks more like a biker than an old salt, has decades of fishing experience, survived a shipwreck in 2003 and supports three children, including one in college, with the money he earns as Captain of the Hard Merchandise.

See the ALL-NEW Miss GEICO Racing Boat The six-time World Champion Miss GEICO Racing Team is proud to introduce the newest and latest Miss GEICO offshore racing boat.
The new Miss GEICO is a 50-ft. Victory catamaran made of carbon/kevlar. At approximately 11,000 pounds, she is almost 1,500 pounds lighter than her predecessor and is equal in length. She has a 12-ft. beam, which is 6-ft. wider than the former boat; the extra width will allow her to ride smoother at faster rates of speed.
Powered by 1075 Mercury racing engines, she currently has a top speed of 170mph. Off-season plans include replacing these engines with a set of 1500 HP piston racing engines which will enable Miss GEICO to reach a top speed in excess of 200 mph!

P1 28SS PantherSee the P1 28SS Panther, a champion racing boat that has revolutionized mono-hull racing. This 28-ft. sport racer boasts the latest technology in safety, hull design, digital telemetry and data acquisition. Powered by a 250+hp engine, the P1 Panther which debuted in 2011 at the SuperStock National Championships in the UK and USA, can reach speeds of up to 70mph in flat water.
The Powerboat P1 SuperStock USA Championship series is the next generation of powerboat racing— with a goal of bringing racing back to the spectators. While most powerboat races today take place far offshore, due to the design of the boat and nature of the races, P1 SuperStock race courses can be positioned close to shore, so spectators can really see and enjoy the on-the-water action.
In the Powerboat P1 SuperStock USA Championship series, the drivers make the difference—not the amount of their investment. The "one design" format levels the playing field for all competitors, because every driver is at the helm of the same model boat—the P1 Panther— with the same engine and propeller. The result is extremely competitive, exciting races that are fun to watch.
The series is sanctioned by the American Powerboat Association (APBA).
